    Environment

    • MultiPortal Version: 1.1.2
    • Proxmox VE Version: 9.1.7
    • Deployment Type: Single Node
    • Browser (if UI issue): Chrome

    Description
    creating a VM with cloudInit username/password : “Error: Failed to decrypt credentials — encryption key may have changed”

    Steps to Reproduce (if applicable)
    1.
    2.
    3.

    Expected Behavior
    VM is created with the username and password set

    Actual Behavior
    VM does not get created

      This has been answered in the release for Monday. Thank you.

        Hey there @twallace-armor, the latest release (1.1.3) has just dropped. Take it for a spin in your test environment and see if that sorts your issue out.

          But now in 1.1.3 there is another error Error: Validation failed: {“ciuser”:[“Username is required when any cloud-init field is set.”]} So probably you need to address this. Creation VM from template is not possible.Screenshot 2026-05-28 at 07.00.08.png

            Hi @twallace-armor, this may be caused by the MultiPortal queue workers needing a restart.

            Could you please navigate to Settings → System Info → Manage:

            Then click Restart All:

            Once the services have restarted, please retry the task. If it still fails, could you try creating a new Virtual Machine.
