    Hi,

Curious if it’s doable to have a new virtual datacenter assigned to an existing POOL (with sub POOLS) in ProxMox rather than have a new one generated?

      Hey @nd-mp26

Presumably you’re referring to resource pools in Proxmox VE right? PVE doesn’t really do sub pools but we’ve gotten around that by namespacing them.

To clarify: You, as a provider, would like the ability to create a new tenant/reseller/VDC (doesn’t really matter) and specify the backing resource pool in PVE right?

Can I ask what your use cases for this would be?

Perfect, ideally as a provider having the ability to create a new tenant/reseller/VDC and specify the backing resource pool in PVE would work great as we have existing vms and permissions attached to those pools. We have some use cases where sub pools have unique permissions for a subset of the users which provides some helpful options to for organizing vms similar to how virtualcenter uses vm folders for organization.
