  GUI slow when QEMU agent not running

  Environment

  • MultiPortal Version: 1.1.3
  • Proxmox VE Version: 9.1.1
  • Deployment Type: [Single Node / HA Cluster]: Single Node
  • Browser (if UI issue): Edge, but all browsers

  Description
  If the QEMU Agent is installed but not running, then selecting the details for a VM takes a long time (12secs to load the page), if the agent is running then the page load is <2 secs - I imagine this is due to MP asking the VM for it’s IP’s details, and has a 10second timeout (not 100% sure on that).

  Steps to Reproduce (if applicable)

  1. Deploy VM, have QEMU agent installed not running
  2. Go to the GUI page for the VM details

  Expected Behavior
  Page should load much quicker

  Actual Behavior
  Page takes ~12secs to load

  Great news, thanks! This feature is fundamental for our customers that already upload and download appliances and VMs on their behalf, without admins intervention.
  Looking forward to see it on MultiPortal! :-)
